Financial Information

AVAC is a not-for-profit organization and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code. AVAC's continuous policy, advocacy, and outreach work is made possible by the generous support of its members and donors. AVAC does not accept funding from governments or the pharmaceutical industry.
 
In 2009, AVAC's budget was $2.5 million, of which 84% was devoted to programs, 14% to administration, and 2% to fundraising. Put another way, 84 cents of every dollar donated to AVAC was dedicated to AVAC's policy, advocacy, communications, education, and outreach work.
