As AIDS vaccine trials commence around the world, media coverage can make or break community and political understanding and support for the effort. AVAC understands this and consistently works to be a strong voice for HIV vaccine and prevention research funding, development, and understanding. The media offers an opportunity to reach the public with important information regarding research efforts, related national and international policies as well as provides a forum for debate and discussion about current issues related to HIV vaccine and prevention research.
