**HIV Prevention Research: A Comprehensive Timeline**

The timeline below summarizes the major HIV prevention research trials that are underway today. The research spans multiple strategies: from AIDS vaccines, to microbicides, to male circumcision, to behavioral interventions. Data from each of these studies has the impact to add to or change approaches to HIV prevention worldwide. And these studies will also have an impact on each other - no single HIV prevention strategy or field of research exists in a vacuum. This is a tool for advocates interested in learning more, making connections, and becoming involved in planning for a complex and exciting future.
