Justine MacWilliam

Senior Program Manager: Partner Network 

Justine is a Senior Program Manager on the Partner Network team at AVAC. In this role, Justine leads the COMPASS Coalition Program Strategy Team. Previously, Justine led the COMPASS coalition secretariat, strategy and sub-granting functions and supported AVAC’s key populations advocacy and movement-building work. She also led AVAC’s Partnership Action Plan.

Prior to joining AVAC, Justine was Director of Africa and Middle East Programs at Americares where she oversaw global health partnerships, programs and country office operations across Africa and the Middle East and spearheaded the Americares Ebola response in Sierra Leone during the West Africa Ebola Epidemic.

Justine joined AVAC in 2019, bringing over a decade of experience managing global health programs and partnerships, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health, health systems strengthening and infection prevention and control. Justine has an MA in International Affairs from the New School in New York City and holds a BA in History from Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany.
