In its 17th annual report, the Resource Tracking for HIV Prevention Research & Development Working Group documents research and development spending for the calendar year 2021. This report also analyzes funding trends spanning 22 years for the following biomedical HIV prevention options: preventive HIV vaccines, microbicides, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), treatment as prevention (TasP), voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC), female condoms and prevention of vertical transmission (PVT).
