
Yvette focused on reducing vulnerabilities of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Eswatini by enhancing access to economic empowerment opportunities at the community level and intensely advocating for comprehensive laws to address HIV-related stigma and discrimination. She worked with policymakers to advocate for laws and policies that support HIV prevention and addressed HIV-related stigma and discrimination. She also worked to increase knowledge about biomedical HIV prevention strategies among AGYW by creating safe spaces, dialogues and holding information sessions on HIV prevention. She engaged people living with HIV and community leaders to highlight the need for accelerated reduction in the vulnerability of new HIV infections among AGYW.
